Robert Half Technology are working with a well-known healthcare firm seeking a data engineer for data migration project.

The Role

• Collaborate with the solution architect, internal stakeholders, and vendors to design and implement a scalable data migration plan from the current to future system.
• Understand and document data retention, technical reporting requirements, and regulatory data needs in consultation with business and pathology SMEs.
• Work with the data warehouse team to develop and manage data feeds for hospital reporting.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
• Prepare detailed reporting design documentation and support implementation during the project phase.
• Support change management processes, vendor coordination, and timely escalation of issues within the Healthcare IT Department.

Your profile:

• Advanced SQL skills, with a deep understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience writing complex queries across varied data sources
• Solid experience in Power BI, particularly in designing and building robust data models
• Proven experience working on Data Migration projects.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++
• Strong analytical mindset, with experience conducting root cause analysis on data and processes to uncover insights, resolve issues, and drive business improvements
• Healthcare experience - highly regarded
