Silverstrand is seeking multiple experienced Excavator Operators to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.

You will be based on our Brisbane/ SEQ Projects, where you will conduct a multitude of different excavation tasks.

Operating 5T - 38T Machines, Final Trim works, GPS use, Benching/ shoring, Loading/ unloading trucks, Bulk earthworks, Trenching, etc.

This role is responsible for (but not limited to):

Excavator Operations - trench work, back filling, GPS and final trim work

Ability to work directly from plans

Safely dogging suspended loads accurately

Rigging and securing loads for excavator placements

Working safely around high risk machinery

General labouring and trade assistant work as required

Ability to read and understand plans

Ensuring compliance with site safety & environmental requirements

Skills/Experience required:

Excavator RII Ticket

Construction Induction White Card

Minimum 5 years proven experience operating excavators on civil construction projects

Other machine tickets desirable - (HR, Skid steer, Roller, etc)

Be reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and be able to work as part of a team

Strong safety initiative

Have excellent communication skills

Positive attitude and approachable demeanor
