The opportunity
We are currently seeking applications for a Member Service Trainee to join our Penrith branch on a 12-month trainee placement. The successful applicant will undertake a Certificate III in Business whilst learning about the member service function and day-to-day branch operations. In addition, opportunity will be available to undertake a further Certificate III in a related qualification.

Key responsibilities
During the traineeship you will gain:
An understanding of the mutual values and the Bank’s commitment to its people, its members, the community and the environment.
An operational knowledge of the member service function within the branch environment with a strong focus on loans during the second half of the traineeship.
Develop the skills required to build relationships and identify products and services best suited to member needs.
Learn to navigate challenges and resolve problems, whilst providing the highest level of service and support to members and co-workers.

experience working in a face-to-face customer service role;
a keen eye for detail;
clear verbal and written communication skills;
a cooperative attitude;
a willingness to learn and apply new skills;
be technology savvy;
reliable; and
able to increase productivity to achieve established goals.
