About the role
APS POWER is seeking an experienced Spare Parts Coordinator to join our dynamic team in our Perth, WA office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and inventory of critical spare parts for our manufacturing and logistics operations.
What you'll be doing
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of all spare parts using the company’s inventory management system. Conduct regular stocktakes and reconciliations.
Order Processing: Process parts orders in a timely manner, including raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and managing backorders.
Supplier Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate pricing and lead times to ensure value and continuity of supply.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of parts, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and compliance with shipping standards.
Customer & Technician Support: Provide timely support to field service technicians and customers by identifying, sourcing, and dispatching required parts.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of transactions, shipments, and usage trends. Generate regular inventory and performance reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance parts availability, reduce costs, and support business goals.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in spare parts coordination, inventory management, or a similar logistics/procurement role.
Strong procurement and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and manage supplier relationships
Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
A keen interest in continuous improvement and a commitment to finding innovative solutions
