About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director to lead our newly purpose-built early childhood service in Seven Hills New South Wales. As the Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategic direction of our early childhood service. This is a full-time role that requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a deep commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre, including staff management, budgeting, and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Developing and implementing the centre's educational program, ensuring it aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and meets the needs of the children in our care
Building and maintaining strong relationships with parents and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, providing coaching and support to the teaching team to help them develop their skills and reach their full potential
Representing the centre within the local community and building partnerships with relevant organisations
Ensuring the centre's physical environment is safe, well-maintained, and conducive to learning and play
What we're looking for
A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within the early childhood education and care sector
OR
A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (3–4 year qualification) with strong leadership experience, ideally in a similar role.
A thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, and all relevant regulations and policies governing the operation of childcare centers
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education
Relevant certifications, such as First Aid, child protection, and a current paid Working with Children Check
