A Global Manufacturer and iconic brand associated with major projects is looking for a dynamic an energetic Team Member to join a rapidly growing local subsidiary.
You will be an “Accounting-Allrounder” working across all aspects of the business with an ability to maintain and interpret all company financial records in being responsible for a variety of financial tasks crucial to the success of our business. Duties include day to day bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts receivable, tax compliance, cashflow management, payroll, group reporting, budgeting and financial planning.
Additional responsibilities include monthly and annual tax and statutory compliance reporting activities, including management of import and export activities.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be a financial expert, an accounting professional who will help identify areas for streamlining processes and achieving greater efficiencies while assisting with the smooth daily operations of our finance department.
Objectives of this role:
Perform accounting duties within a fast-paced finance department while adhering to established standards
Manage accounts receivable, following up on invoices when necessary
Manage accounts payable and payroll departments
Maintain the integrity of the company’s finances
Ensure that the company adheres to applicable local and national financial regulations
Scope of responsibilities:
Perform monthly group reporting duties for HQ in Europe
Daily engagement with Management of the subsidiary
Project feasibility, profitability and cashflow forecasting
Preparing monthly BAS, quarterly estimates and annual tax returns
Prepare financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare consolidated reports for HQ incorporating Australian and New Zealand business activities and taxation requirements
Establish company best practices related to accounting
Prepare scalable approaches to cost reductions and processes improvement
Review, inspect and update all documentation and accounting related systems
Required skills and qualifications
Experience and proficiency in the use SAP-B1 or similar SAP software
Highly developed skills in using Excel and the broader Microsoft suite
A minimum of three years conducting full accounting of a trading company or similar entity
Knowledge of standard accounting and bookkeeping principles and best practices
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time, whether working independently or as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information
Additional preferred skills and qualifications
Knowledge of IFRS regulations
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Reporting and additional notes:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director
