About the Role

As the JSA Lead Data Engineer, you’ll spearhead the design and delivery of robust data solutions using Microsoft cloud platforms, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and Databricks. You will lead internal and external technical teams, contribute to strategic planning, and foster strong stakeholder relationships to deliver impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise data workflows across Microsoft cloud platforms
• Lead the development of CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
• Provide technical leadership in software development and DevOps
• Support cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Ensure performance, scalability, and quality across data engineering solutions
• Drive process improvement and continuous delivery in agile environments

Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise in Azure, AWS, SQL Server, Databricks, and Data Factory
• Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, PowerShell and scripting languages
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerisation tools
• Ability to lead teams and influence at all levels
• Demonstrated data modelling and database management experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly

Australian Citizenship & ability to obtain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
