About the role
ac.care is seeking an experienced Manager Quality and Safeguarding to be responsible for designing, implementing and continuously reviewing the organisation's Quality and Safeguarding Framework. This will include strategic and operational leadership across all services to ensure systems, practices and organisational culture positively impacts clients.
The manager will be required to lead and contribute to effective governance across the organisation in relation to Quality and Safeguarding, including regular reporting to Board and senior management.
The manager will be responsible for continuously improving quality and safeguarding practices. Utilising the skills acquired through previous experience, the manager will collect and analyse data (including incidents, complaints, client feedback and client file audits) and design and influence practice change.
The role will be instrumental in supporting the organisation's strategic and operational goals through undertaking the following responsibilities:
Develop the organisation's quality, safeguarding and compliance capability, through training, educating and mentoring staff and key stakeholders, in supporting the strategic, quality and continuous improvement agenda.
Develop and maintain quality and safeguarding standards, policies, and procedures to guide staff to achieve high quality client outcomes that are consistent and compliant with legislation.
Coach managers to develop and monitor their own quality improvement processes to build capacity for the future.
Develop and implement key performance indicators to inform trends and provision of high-level data reporting.
Lead the design, implementation and monitoring of the organisation's risk and audit methodologies, quality control systems, internal quality audits, investigations and technologies to embed compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Engage with key stakeholders (internal/external) to maintain and foster key relationships .
Support the Board, CEO and Strategic Leadership Team in the execution of their responsibilities through the reporting and provision of relevant data, information and advice on key strategies, trends, and issues to ensure a best practice approach.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in allied health, social work, quality or risk management or business with a minimum of 5 years experience.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in quality management systems, client safety and quality standards and indicators, clinical governance practices, combined with a working knowledge of quality management systems.
Demonstrated experience in working across multiple service types to create cultural and practical change.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and providing expert advice to multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership team and Board.
Demonstrated experience in leading internal audits and investigations and the preparation of detailed and complex reports and briefs.
Demonstrated experience in developing strong collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience establishing and embedding governance, reporting frameworks, and evaluating service quality and customer safety.
