We’re seeking an experienced Senior Orthoptist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take the lead across a dynamic clinic setting.

• Work hours between 7:30am – 5:30pm, depending on clinic roster

What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and consultations
• Operating advanced diagnostic equipment:
• IOL Master 700
• Zeiss OCT
• Humphrey Visual Field
• Pentacam
• (Desirable: iTrace)

• Assisting with minor procedures such as retinal injections, chalazion and lid lesion removals
• Supporting clinics in sub-specialty areas including Refractive and Dry Eye Services
• Performing IOL calculations, preparing surgical lists, and ensuring pre/post-op care
• Triaging patients, assisting with audits and ongoing research
• Overseeing clinic flow – ensuring patients aren’t left waiting, coordinating staff breaks, and mitigating issues before they arise
• Taking ownership of downtime by proactively supporting admin and clinical tasks

About you:

• Qualified Orthoptist with current registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board
• Strong experience in a multidisciplinary ophthalmic setting
• Confident operating a wide range of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
• Organised, quick-thinking, and adaptable – a true clinic go-getter!!
• Comfortable leading and coordinating the day-to-day clinical flow
• Familiar with Genie or other EMR systems
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check
