At Subzero Group, we specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of custom-built coldrooms and freezer systems across Brisbane and Queensland. From major hospitality venues to high-end commercial kitchens, we take pride in delivering reliable, efficient, and tailored refrigeration solutions.

We’re growing fast and are looking for an experienced Coldroom Builder to join our installation team and help us deliver quality projects on time and to specification.

The Role
As a Coldroom Builder, you’ll work closely with our project managers and clients to build and install coldrooms, freezers, and insulated panel systems on commercial sites. No two days will be the same – from bustling construction sites to established venues, you'll be part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:

Installation of coldrooms, freezer rooms, and insulated panel builds.

Interpreting drawings and cutting materials to spec

Sealing, flashing, and finishing to a high standard

Coordinating with other trades on-site

Following safety procedures and ensuring quality compliance

The following will be favourable but not mandatory:

Experience in insulated panel construction (ideal)

Carpentry background or relevant trade qualifications, looking for a change.

High-risk licenses including Forklift, Scissor Lift, Work at Heights, Elevated Work Platform

We’re Looking For Someone With:

Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings

Construction White Card (mandatory)

Current driver's licence

Great communication and a team-first attitude
