Are you a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking for your next FIFO opportunity? We’re seeking a motivated and experienced mechanic to join our dynamic team on a 2:1 roster, flying out of Darwin. This is a day shift only role with 12-hour shifts, offering a great work-life balance and the chance to work on a wide variety of equipment in a supportive, high-performing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Servicing and repairing road trains, Isuzu trucks, and lighting plants

Scheduled maintenance and diagnostics on Caterpillar mining equipment

Performing brakes and bearings work on BPW axles

Responding to breakdowns and providing site-based support

Air-conditioning maintenance and general mechanical troubleshooting

Working both in our workshop and on remote LV operations in East Arnhem Land

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 4+ years post-trade experience (Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate)

Road train and light truck experience is essential

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Willingness to jump in and assist across a variety of mechanical tasks

High-Risk Forklift Licence (mandatory)

Dogging Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Riggers Licence (desirable)
