Job Opportunity: Chef at Falvey's Cecil Hotel

Falvey's Cecil Hotel is seeking a qualified and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. The position is casual to start off but full-time is available for the right candidate. The shifts are majority Tuesday - Saturday.

About Us: Falvey's Cecil Hotel is an independently owned and operated Hotel from the expanding Falvey’s Hotel group. The Cecil Hotel is one of 6 venues located in Ipswich, Lockery Valley and Toowoomba. Our kitchen team pride themselves on their high standards striving to execute a quality experience for all our guests.

Role and Responsibilities: As a qualified Chef at Falvey's Cecil Hotel, you will:

Report directly to the venues Head Chef and the group’s Kitchen Operations Manager.

Assist the Kitchen team with the day to day operations of the kitchen including food preparation, daily service, general cleaning and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Be responsible for preparing and executing a diverse range of dishes with creativity and precision.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards and timely delivery of orders.

Ensure impeccable presentation and quality of all dishes leaving the kitchen.

Availability: This role requires flexibility in working hours. The successful candidate must be available to work on weekends, evenings and public holidays to accommodate our busy service hours.

Qualifications and Requirements: To be considered for this role, you should possess:

A certificate III in commercial cookery or higher.

Food safe handing certificate.

Must currently reside in and be able to work in Australia.

Proven experience in a similar role, showcasing your hospitality knowledge.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly within a team or independently when required.

A high level of attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
