We’re currently expanding our team and looking for Senior Accountant - Payable & Assets to join us in delivering quality service to our customers.

Position Available: Senior Accountant - Payable & Assets

Location: Richlands

Salary: $130,000k + super

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated professional responsible for all policy, process and performance of Centurion’s Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets functions. Reporting to the General Manager – Corporate Services, the role leads a global team of officers ensuring best accounting practise, auditable controls and high performance in servicing internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable; inbound triage, invoicing processing, escalations, vendor creation, payment runs and specialised processing such as credit cards and employee reimbursements.
• Fixed Assets; monitor from receipt/payment of capital items to commissioning to trigger capitalisation and appropriate depreciation application.

• Lead a high performing team of accounting professionals and officers to deliver timely and accurate execution of functional activity.
• Define, implement and monitor compliance of policy and procedures related to Centurion’s accounts payable and fixed asset functions ensuring auditable controls, fraud mitigation and efficient and timely recognition of expenses and capitalisation.
• Ensure alignment and compliance with all applicable accounting and legislative standards.
• Liaise with stakeholders from upstream Purchasing and downstream Treasury to ensure a seamless value stream across Centurions Procure-to-Pay integrated business process model.
• Providing funding forecasts and proposals for creditor, subcontractor and capital requirements.
• Ensure complete and accurate reconciliation and health of vendor and asset registers. Providing supporting documentation to internal and external auditors as required.
• Report and improving key performance indicators inclusive of DPO, invoicing metrics and capitalisation expense.
• Champion system implementation and administration to ensure best practise application and use of all financial systems and tools.

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent experience
• 5+ years’ relevant experience
