The Role:
As an E&I tech at SECA Engineering you will be working on small to large scale projects, from new installations to upgrades to existing facilities, from one off custom installations to large maintenance shutdowns. Some of your tasks will include:
Switchboard installation, modifications and upgrades
Installation of cable containment systems
Cable hauling
Electrical installation testing & commissioning
Lighting upgrades
Installation and maintenance of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area’s
Routine electrical maintenance works, testing and reporting
Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
Instrumentation calibrations
Control panel wiring/modifications
CCTV and Access Control systems

If you have experience in one or more of the below, we want to hear from you:
Demonstrated previous experience in construction and maintenance in an industrial or mining setting.
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
Strong fault-finding skills
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
PLC/HMI programming
Automation and control systems
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
VSD’s and motor control
Fibre Optic and structure cabling
Security systems, access control & CCTV systems
Instrumentation installation, calibration and commissioning
Previous supervisory or leading hand experience
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential/required for the role:
Proof of right to work in Australia
WA Electrical Licence
Valid Driver’s Licence
Construction White Card
Ability to pass pre-employment medical
Cert III or Cert IV Instrumentation
Cert IV Hazardous Areas (EEHA)
Highly regarded:
First Aid, CPR & Live LV Panel Rescue
High Risk Work Licence – EWP/forklift
Working at Heights
Strong computer skills/Microsoft Office Suite
PLC programming experience
High Voltage Switching
Preferred but not essential:
Open Registration Cabling Licence
MSIC – Maritime Security Identification Card
Dangerous Goods Security Card
Confined Space
