BLU Electrical Services undertakes projects in both regional and metro WA and we focus on medium size projects in sport, healthcare, education, community facilities and non process mining up to $10mil.

With multiple projects on the go, and a number of new projects about to start we are looking for the right person to join our team and help continue to build on the success we've had to date.

We are a family business that goes above and beyond to take care of our team, and we provide a flexible roster that allows our staff to be home for important events when working away.

About the role

If you have experience as a qualified electrician and would like to try something different, then consider this role

1. Work in both metro and regional WA, you'll need to be prepared to do both.

2. Work with a growing team of hard working tradesmen who value quality work and overcoming challenges faced in remote locations

When you are away for a period of time, we make sure regular trips home are provided and we take care of the mental and emotional well being of all our team, and those around us.

We are also looking for people to join our team who want to step up and take more responsibility, and work toward becoming leading hands and supervisors.

Skills and experience

You'll be working with a team that takes care of each other, so having the right attitude is paramount to being successful in our business. That's our starting point

Obviously you'll need all the typical skills and experience anyone would expect of a qualified electrician. As a minimum, we expect you to be able to demonstrate the following based on previous experience

1. Read and understand drawings and specs
2. Set out and installation of underground conduits and pits
3. Catenary and cable support system installation
4. Set out and rough in of power, lighting and data
5. Switchboard install and fit off
6. Cut out and fit off, in location and to the drawings
7. Test and commission
8. Sense of humour
9. Make your own bed

Most of all, you need to work safely.
