About Us
North To South is a Family owned and operated company, based in the Adelaide Hills!
A young and fun team, we are founded by Kaleb, and run alongside his brother Alex & tradesman Stuart, we take pride in serving the Adelaide community with a personable approach.
We are also a veteran-owned operators, and are committed to supporting local businesses, veterans, and emergency service organisations, giving back to the community that supports us.
About the role
We are seeking an skilled Electrician that’s looking for a change of pace, or better work-life balance, to join our growing team! Experience in Industrial work is a bonus!
Our team is involved in a range of residential, commercial and industrial work, and we pride ourselves on delivering quality service, and maintaining long-lasting client relationships. As part of our growing team, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse and interesting projects across Adelaide/SA.
What does an average day look like & what are some key responsibilities?
Jobs will be loaded into our job management system (Servicem8) before the week commences. You'll be confirming attendance with the customer either the night/day before or during the day to give accurate ETA's to clients.
Once on the job site, completing mandatory paperwork & JSA's. We have electronic systems to make this process easy and fast! Then confirming with the client/builder/manager the work to be done. Before, during & after photos are critical & will become habit.
During any task it is important to keep an eye out for any electrical danger or hazard that could be brought up with the client/owner.
Communication is key. We require feedback on every job so scheduling is smooth & maximum efficiency is achieved. This is done by comparing allowed time on jobs to what is estimated once on the ground, any extra time needed for additional works, if the work has been done faster than expected ect. It is not uncommon for the guys to have early knocks after completing all the tasks for the day!
Once each job has been done, an end of job checklist must be filled out and signed. It includes common questions about testing, clean up, photos, recommendations to clients ect. This is to help reduce call backs & improve customer experience. Detailed job notes are very important & need to include time on site, materials used, jobs left, ECOC number & photos as a minimum. We prioritise quality over quantity every time.
Training apprentices and keeping them in a safe learning environment is critical at NTS. We require a tradesman that can comfortably work with apprentices, take time to show them correctly how to do tasks, have patience, embrace mistakes that will happen & can have a sound gauge of where apprentices experience so you know what tasks to delegate ect.
Van stock is required to be fully stocked at the end of each week. We try to have all materials ordered for each job beforehand and keep the van stock as backup. If any materials need to be ordered from a wholesaler, we use a courier to site & avoid going to the wholesaler. This maximises efficiency of the team.
Opportunity's to travel with this role do come up & isn't mandatory. This in not limited to just SA & can span from a few days to weeks away.
We are proud of our team and offer:
