About the role

As a Cafe All Rounder at Canteen by Phonatic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our vibrant eatery inside the University of Adelaide. This is a casual position, offering the flexibility to fit around your other commitments. You will be based in our eatery located in the Adelaide CBD.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and serving a variety cold beverages, including coffee, bubble tea, and specialty drinks

Assisting with the preparation and presentation of delicious food items, such as Banh Mi, Vermicelli Noodle Bowls, Rice Bowls and Cold Rolls

Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all our customers. This includes taking orders and handling cash

Maintaining a clean and well-organised work environment, following food safety and hygiene protocols

Supporting the team with tasks such as restocking, inventory management, and light cleaning duties

Demonstrating a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and services

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate must be available to work at least three (3) weekdays per week.

Relevant experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the hospitality or food and beverage industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide friendly and attentive service to customers.

Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities, enabling you to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety

A passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to contribute to the success of our vibrant café

As we are a Vietnamese Eatery, we desire applicants that is able to speak Vietnamese and English.
