Chronic pain is complex and optimally treated in a multi-disciplinary pain management program (including physiotherapy, psychology and medical). Evidence on the effectiveness of our programs have been demonstrated compared to 120 other pain management providers in the Electronic Persistent Pain Outcomes Collaboration (ePPOC).

Applicants do not need experience in pain psychology and full training and mentoring is provided. All our practitioners are committed to life long learning and a process of continuous improvement of our clinical standards. Your caseload will be 60% chronic pain and 40% general psychology patients.

About this opportunity

We are currently looking for a full time or part time psychologist (minimum 3 days per week) to join our multi-disciplinary team at our Dandenong practice.

More information about this role includes:

Above award rate with FT salary up to $110,000 + super (estimated approx. $120k total package) for 38 hours/week including leave

Well suited to early career psychologists interested in developing skills in pain psychology and various psychological interventions (including ACT, CBT)

Flexible hours and caseload mix of telehealth and face to face (primarily face to face)

Comprehensive induction, and ongoing training and mentoring (individual and group supervision sessions)

Caseload size graduated depending on progress with induction and training, with caseload monitoring to ensure a balance of presentations

About you

Full registration with AHPRA (not probationary registration)

A genuine interest in developing high level clinical skills in pain psychology as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary pain management team
