Position Description: Junior School Teacher Aide (Prep & Year 1)

Commencing: As soon as possible

Hours of Duty: 8.00am – 3.00pm

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Aide with a minimum 2 years’ experience

Silkwood School is looking for an experienced Teacher Aide to support the delivery of our unique teaching and learning framework in class with students, The Silkwood Way on our Junior & Primary School Campus in Mount Nathan.

What You’ll Do:

Work under the direction of the class teacher (Advisor): assisting with the supervision of students and a range of other activities.

Assist with content and delivery of programs: in line with the Silkwood Way and with the guidance of the class teacher (Advisor)

Student Learning Enrichment Support: Assist the advisor to work with students with a range of abilities and leave the rest.

Administering First Aid: An ability to be able to triage sick bay, effectively administer daily medication, while administering our first aid policy and overseeing hygiene practices.

To effectively thrive in your role, you will need to have strong liaison and relationship building skills with both students and team members.
