The Opportunity

As a General Hand you will ensure Carrington’s buildings, grounds, and equipment are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, visitors and staff. We currently have opportunities of both Full Time & Casual positions. As part of the Maintenance team, you will support facilities maintenance across the whole Carrington Campus, including:

Responsibilities

• Maintenance – carry out basic scheduled or reactive maintenance & repairs of buildings, plant & roads
• Logistics – support waste & linen services, gardening team, and removalist activities for residents & business needs
• Driving – buggies, bus, towing trailers & ensuring vehicles are maintained to a high standard of presentation.
• Support the Hotel Services & Residential Aged Care teams to deliver high quality services for our residents

About You

Essential Criteria:

1. Similar experience providing property/building services &/or grounds maintenance.
2. Take pride in your work & willingness to be hands-on
3. Commitment to excellent customer service
4. Demonstrated ability to work in a team & independently.
5. Understanding of safety and effective work practices.
6. Functional verbal & written communication
7. Current NSW driver’s licence
8. Right to work in Australia
9. Completion of a pre-employment assessment and a National Criminal History check clearance

Desirable

• Current First Aid Certificate
• Light rigid driver's licence or higher preferred
• Current qualifications in the elevated working platforms (EWP) or forklift license (LF)
