About the role

G.G Grinding & Engineering is seeking a motivated and skilled General Hand to join our Machine Shop team in Milperra, NSW. This is a casual position, offering flexible work hours and the opportunity to play a key role in our thriving manufacturing operation.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the operation of various machine tools, including Cylindrical Grinders, Surface Grinders, Internal Grinders, Lathes, Milling Machines.

Performing basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the workshop tidy and equipment well-maintained

Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Collaborating with the production team to meet deadlines and achieve quality standards

Providing support to the Machine Shop Supervisors as needed

What we're looking for

A Mature Age General hand with experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment,

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications

Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality

Good communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work in a casual capacity, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and workflows
