We take pride in our rich, flavourful South Asian cuisine and are expanding our team with a skilled Executive Chef who can lead our kitchen with creativity and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage kitchen operations for high-volume events (handling multiple functions simultaneously, up to 500+ guests).
Prepare authentic Nepalese, Indian, and Sri Lankan dishes while incorporating Western fusion elements when required.
Design and execute event menus tailored to client preferences, ensuring authenticity and innovation.
Oversee food preparation, portion control, and waste management to maintain cost efficiency.
Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth service during peak event times.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety (HACCP), hygiene standards, and council regulations.
Manage supplier relationships, stock control, and kitchen procurement to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Optimise kitchen workflows, set up efficient systems, and ensure readiness for large-scale functions.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3+ years as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in South Asian cuisine (Nepalese/Indian).
Proven experience managing high-volume kitchens (e.g., weddings, large events) with multitasking ability.
Deep knowledge of traditional spices, techniques, and modern culinary trends.
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Formal culinary qualifications (Cert III/IV or equivalent) preferred.
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Supplier network & cost-management expertise (advantageous).
Visa sponsorship potential for the right candidate post-probation.
