About the Role:
As a Chef / Cook, you will play a key role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for residents, ensuring they meet Aged Care food service guidelines. Your daily duties will include:
·Coordinating and preparing high-quality meals, including those for specialized diets such as supplements and texture-modified foods
·Assisting service staff with meal plating and serving
·Monitoring and ensuring proper temperature control checks for meals, cool rooms, and freezers
·Promoting and adhering to food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
·Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and well-maintained, with all equipment in good working order
·Managing food supply orders, ensuring food is properly rotated and stored

As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an essential role in supporting our clients' food service operations. Your duties will include:
·Setting up food and drink trolleys
·Serving and delivering meals and drinks to patients and clients
·Preparing texture-modified food and fluids to meet specific needs
·Creating fresh sandwiches and salads
·Accurately recording food temperatures
·Washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen remains spotless
·Maintaining cleanliness in service areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment

What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
·A Certificate III in Cookery (or equivalent) (For Chefs and Cooks)
·A minimum of 6 months' experience working in Health Care environments (Aged Care, Hospitals, Childcare, Disability)
·Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team
·A current National Police Certificate for unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups (issued within the last 12 months)
·A current Working with Children Check
·Flu vaccination 2025 and 1 COVID vaccinations
·Flexibility to work across mornings, afternoons, and on-call shifts
·NDIS clearance
