About the Role
The Senior Teaching & Learning Officer is responsible for providing high-level administrative support for teaching and learning and academic programs within the School. The role is also responsible for providing advice to academic and professional staff on the application of School, Faculty and University policy and procedures relating to students matters. The role will assist in the development and dissemination of University and Faculty Policy and Protocols.
If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible to:
- Manage enrolments and associated activities, monitor student progression, and support academic caution and misconduct cases.
- Organise faculty-based exams and collaborate on yearly and ad-hoc timetable planning.
- Assist academics with systems like Canvas, CourseLoop, CAD, SharePoint, and manage subject outlines, student communications, and room bookings.
- Maintain accurate web and course guide content and support internal and external course accreditation processes.
- Act as a key contact for staff and students, support academic proposals, and participate in student-facing events like Open Day and Orientation.
- Provide secretariat support to School committeesand ensure accurate documentation and advice.

- Demonstrated high level of computer literacy with ability and willingness to embrace new technologies, develop and use reporting capabilities and identify opportunities for systems-based process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the evaluation of operational procedures, policies and systems, make recommendations for improvement and implement new solutions
- Demonstrated attention to detail with ability to analyse and interpret policy, maintain data integrity, resolve problems for students and staff and prepare reports.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines
- Teaching & Learning and/or academic programs experience
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $95,893 to $103,828 (HEW 6)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 5 months.
