Description

• Supporting the day-to-day financial operations, including month-end and year-end processes, journal processing, account reviews, and reconciliations
• Contributing to the development of the annual budget, including processing budget data and phasing within the budget management system
• Providing accurate financial information and financial management services to both internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting ad-hoc project work as directed by management
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused service delivery
• Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures (including the Financial Management Practice Manual), Australian Accounting Standards, and relevant legislation
• Assisting in the preparation of business cases and briefing notes for senior management

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:

• The ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Management accounting experience
• Ability use Microsoft Office package
• Tertiary education qualification is preferred
