About the Role:

Andrews Meat comprises of three key divisions: food service; value added - cooked; and export. Across these divisions, Andrews Meat supplies to all areas of the foodservice sector including restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, hotels and resort groups. The company also services industries like health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.

We currently have full-time on-site roles for an experienced Machine Operator with a minimum of 2 years expereince to join our Cooked Food Division (CFS) team at Andrews Meat Industries Pty Ltd in Lidcombe, NSW.

Roster: 8-hour shifts / Full-Time 38 Hours Per Week

6.00am-2pm

The role’s responsibilities include but not limited to:

Setting up, operating and controlling cooking equipment’s (Kettles, cookers)

Ensuring to follow cooking process efficiently and producing a quality product.

Conducting routine inspections on machinery to identify potential issues on the machine and reporting to the Supervisor

Attention to detail and follow hygiene standards

Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet production demand.

Picking and packing of meat products

Repetitive lifting and packing activities

Cleaning different work areas

Checking orders against order sheets

Repetitive loading and unloading labour;

Prepping fresh meat as required;

Assisting with preproduction of next day’s orders;

Other ad hoc duties as directed by supervisor or manager;

About you:

Who we are looking for?

Minimum 2 year of experience working in food handling/food environment

Minimum 2 year experience in operating machineries.

Chef background would be an advantage.

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Abilitiy to work in a hot & cold environment

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Strong organisational and time management skills

Self- driven and motivated

Ability to work in a repetitive and fast paced environment

Reliable and punctual

Physically fit to perform a manual role

Ability to work in a cold environment

Previous knife experience desirable but not essential

Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical
