About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Strategy and Government Relations team within the Strategy Branch. The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for providing timely and well-researched strategic policy advice and support on whole of portfolio matters. The Senior Policy Officer is also responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal agency stakeholders, as well as with stakeholders at state and national levels to support the delivery of portfolio outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria:

Experience in undertaking high level research and the development of accurate, clear and detailed written reports, briefing papers and/or Ministerial correspondence.
Proven high level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts succinctly and clearly and to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
A strong understanding of government priorities, processes and accountabilities, including an understanding of Cabinet and Parliamentary processes.
Strong interpersonal skills, including proven ability to consult, liaise and develop a network of strategic alliances to achieve work area and agency goals.
Qualifications:
Essential: Significant equivalent or demonstrated transferable experience
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification
Remuneration:
ASO6 salary range $98,478 - $104,165 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
