About the role

G & G MARKWELL PTY LTD' is seeking an experienced Crushing Manager to join our team in Townsville, QLD. This is a local role and does not accommodate FIFO or DIDO. As the Crushing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our crushing plant, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality control for both our local and out of town crushing contracts. This full-time role is integral to the overall success Crushing, screening and recycling operations.

What you'll be doing

Manage the day-to-day operations of the crushing contracts and recycling yard, including working with our workshop to schedule maintenance and monitoring production

Ensure the crushing plant is operating at optimal efficiency and productivity levels

Implement and monitor safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees

Oversee the maintenance and repair of crushing equipment to minimise downtime assisting our workshop team

Manage a team of crushing plant operators and technicians, providing training and support as needed

Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth integration of the crushing plant into the overall construction process

Analyse performance data and identify opportunities for process improvements

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and environmental standards

Manage all crushing customer relations and quoting

What we're looking for

Experience in a crushing manager or similar role within the construction industry

Proven track record of managing the operations of a crushing plant, including scheduling, maintenance, and production optimisation

Strong technical knowledge of crushing equipment, processes, material specs and industry regulations

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Relevant qualifications in construction and mining, or a related field are highly desirable

High level experience in sales and customer relations
