EXPERIENCED PRACTICE MANAGER

PRIVATE SURGICAL PRACTICE

LOCATED IN THE NORTH OF MELBOURNE

4 DAYS OR FULLTIME

A rare opportunity to work close to home in the north. Our client, a highly regarded private surgical practice, seeks to recruit an experienced Practice Manager who will bring their outstanding experience, knowledge and expertise as you work within this busy obstetrics and gynaecology practice, covering all facets of women’s health.

The main objective of the position is to provide overall day-to-day management and operational expertise. You will have the opportunity to use your creative flair and business acumen to play an integral role in the ongoing planning, marketing and future development of the practice. You will work in partnership with the Medical Director, who fosters a culture of exceptional patient service and professionalism. To attract the calibre of candidate required for this position, this role is being offered as full time or part time (4 days per week).

Located in the medical precinct of Bundoora with the most up to date IT systems, furniture and fittings which will make coming to work every day a pleasure.

The duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Efficiently managing all practice billing process including Eclipse, HIC online, Eftpos and debtor control

Assist in Co-ordinating all aspects of the surgeons’ surgical booking and billing processes

Provide ongoing planning, co-ordination, monitoring and evaluation of all aspects relating to the practice, and implement improvements/changes where necessary

Working in conjunction with the Medical Director in developing business and strategic plans, and marketing initiatives to promote the growth and further success of the practice

Providing administrative support to all practitioners

Importantly the successful candidate must have the necessary drive and enthusiasm required to ensure this paperless practice is working at its optimum.

HR duties (rosters, leave approval, etc)

Onboarding new professional staff

End of day, week, month reporting

Organise staff meetings

What we are looking for!

A brilliant administrator with excellent organisational and time management skills, able to multi task and establish efficient office systems.

Proven experience in a fast paced medical environment

Previous experience working in a specialist surgical practice

Robust knowledge of Genie software

An understanding of the administration processes of patient billing, Medicare, private health funds etc.

An individual who is innovative, business savvy and enthusiastic

The initiative to further develop the practice including marketing ideas and strategies

A high level of communication skills with a professional, friendly, positive and helpful attitude demonstrated at all times

You are compassionate and empathetic by nature, with the ability to handle sensitive issues

A stable long term employee with a strong work ethic

An interest in enhancing online and social media presence)

The ability to work autonomously and in conjunction with the director

Liaise effectively with other team members and health care professionals
