About the Role:
As a Project Support Officer, you will provide high-level secretariat and administrative support to ensure the delivery of the projects from the Maritime Industry Workforce Plan which supports the establishment of Australia’s Strategic Fleet and the broader maritime industry. Your primary focus will be ensuring the smooth operation of tasks and activities associated with the delivery of multiple industry-led maritime projects, working closely with government and private sector stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Project and Administrative Support: Provide exceptional customer service, support project specialists, manage critical project information, support timely delivery of tasks, including document review and contribute to operational activities and improvements including procurement processes
Secretariat Services: Provide professional secretariat services to organise and manage meetings, prepare and distribute documents, take minutes, track action items, and provide first-tier support to committee members for communications and technical support.
Communications and Event Coordination: Support the planning and delivery of maritime sector focused communications and industry events, including workshops, webinars, Industry Roundtables to the Supply Chain Leaders’ Summit, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Training Product Support: Assist ISA Project Specialists and Technical Committees in developing and improving vocational education and training (VET) content.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Strong time management and proactive organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Experience using Microsoft Office 365, and SharePoint.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with keen attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable:
A working knowledge of Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) system.
Knowledge of the transport or maritime sector.
The applicant will be ideally based in a capital city, with hybrid work arrangements. Interstate travel will be required and a willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.
