Salary: $70,960.77 per annum pro rata (plus in-charge allowance)

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Children’s Services is seeking a temporary full-time Early Childhood – Second in Charge/Educational Leader at Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre. This role is based in the service’s office working alongside a Service Leader and Administration Officer.

The initial hours are part time 8:30am to 5:30pm, Thursday and Friday, with an increase to full time from 30 July 2025. Start and finish times may vary based on service needs.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Service Leader and team to implement a holistic, play-based curriculum, fostering an inclusive environment that promotes children's interests, culture, and abilities, leading the development of a high-quality educational program, and supporting the Service Leader in operational requirements.

Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre offers 3-year-old and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs, Long Day Care services, and Maternal and Child Health services.

Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Criminal History Check (valid within six months).

Current and valid Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
