Some of Brimbanks key attractions include its state-of-the-art performance space – the 'Bowery Theatre' in St Albans; and the worldclass 'Brimbank Aquatic and Wellness Centre' which features a 24-hour gym, waterslides, and heated Olympic sized swimming pools, along with a six green star rating for its innovative and sustainable design.

Brimbank is continuously growing, with many transformational infrastructure projects about to break ground. A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

Brimbank City Council is seeking to appoint 2 experienced and reliable Procurement Business Partners who understand the fundamentals and complexities of procurement. The role will also assist in strategies and efficiencies in management the organisations procurement activities,

The role

Reporting to the Procurements and Contracts Coordinator, we are seeking 2 highly motivated Procurement Business Partners who can bring their skills and experience for:

  • Developing and maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships with internal service units, contractors and other external stakeholders involved in the tendering, RFQ and contract process.
  • Ensuring Council's procurement, tendering, quotations and contract processes, procedures and templates are understood and utilised.
  • Communicate procurement processes, services, policies, systems and procedures to stakeholders.
  • Promote high standards of probity, transparency, accountability and risk management in all procurement activities and ensure these standards are maintained.
  • Develop and undertake training programs and ongoing advice for staff in relation to tendering, contracts and contract management.

To be considered you will have:

  • Local government experience is desirable
  • Experience and understanding of the fundamental principles of procurement.
  • Facilitation of the tendering process
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • High level of customer service
  • Ensure procurement aligns with Council's Procurement Policy
