About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to provide strategic financial leadership, commercial advice, and trusted business partnership across the organisation.
Reporting to the CFO and partnering with business leaders (including Project Managers, Program Directors, and the Executive Team), you’ll help ensure financial targets are achieved and risks are effectively managed.
You’ll take an active role in budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and financial reporting—while also contributing to pricing strategies, process improvement, and long-term planning.
Please note: This is a full-time, 7-month fixed term appointment covering a period of parental leave.
Key Activities
Budgeting and forecasting – manage budget and forecasting cycles, partnering with business leaders to provide analysis and assist in budget development.
Reporting – provide high impact reporting to business leaders to support long-term planning.
Performance Monitoring – analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Cost Management – identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost control initiatives, assisting business leaders to manage budgets
Business Partnering – collaborate with business leaders to align financial strategy, support pricing and cost management, contribute to bids, and drive performance through strategic planning and leadership .
Risk Management – identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policy.
About You
The Essentials:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce and CA/CPA qualified
Extensive experience in a Finance Business Partner or similar role
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong commercial acumen supported by advanced Excel and experience with ERP and planning tools
Confident working with senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders
Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
The Nice to Haves:
Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector
Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central, Power BI, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan
