Unmatched Support Services
Posted 1 day ago
At Unmatched Support Services, we believe that housing is more than just a roof overhead—it’s a key part of living with dignity, independence, and stability. We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive Tenancy Manager to support individuals receiving NDIS funding, especially those living in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or other supported housing settings.
In this role, you’ll be a critical link between participants, housing providers, and support networks—helping tenants maintain their homes, understand their rights, and build the skills they need to live independently.
Core Responsibilities
Tenancy Onboarding & Agreements
Support participants to understand and sign tenancy or service agreements.
Explain tenant rights and responsibilities in plain language.
Clarify housing rules and policies to ensure compliance and comfort.
Rent & Payment Support
Ensure participants understand rent obligations, utilities, and bond processes.
Monitor timely payments and collaborate with support coordinators or plan managers to resolve payment issues.
Property Maintenance & Safety
Act as a key contact for maintenance and repair issues.
Liaise with landlords, property managers, and trades to maintain safe living conditions.
Communication & Advocacy
Facilitate respectful communication between tenants, housing providers, and support teams.
Help tenants voice concerns, request changes, or escalate issues where needed.
Tenancy Stability Monitoring
Conduct regular tenant check-ins (weekly, monthly).
Identify and proactively respond to tenancy risks like property damage, rent arrears, or behavioural concerns.
Support for Independent Living
Encourage and support skill development (e.g. budgeting, communication, understanding correspondence).
Work in partnership with support workers or coordinators to promote a stable home environment.
Exit Planning
Guide participants through end-of-tenancy procedures including notice, cleaning, and relocation.
Key Requirements
Demonstrated experience in tenancy management, housing support, or property services.
Strong knowledge of NDIS housing principles, including SDA and SIL environments.
Understanding of residential tenancy law and ability to explain it clearly.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a trauma-informed and empathetic approach.
Strong ability to assess risks and respond to tenancy challenges proactively.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, including people with disabilities or mental health conditions.
High-level organisation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
What We Offer
Competitive pay + overtime + performance bonuses.
Flexible schedule: 3 days per week (8-hour shifts), with on-call opportunities.
A supportive team culture committed to personal and professional growth.
Access to professional development and mentoring programs.
A meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact in people’s lives.
