About the role

• Provide secretariat support to the Committee
• Craft high-quality documents including briefs and papers for consideration and decision for a range of audiences.
• Identify, implement and evaluate continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and develop procedures and guidance materials, in accordance with departmental strategic goals and objectives.
• Support committee operations, including appointments, onboarding, reporting, budget processes, procurement, and record management.

In addition to the above duties, candidates will perform the following responsibilities:

• Keep executive staff informed, escalating issues, and proposing solutions on the basis of good judgment and an understanding of priorities and wider agency implications.
• Build capability in a team environment through coaching others, providing performance feedback, conflict resolution and encouraging career development.
• Oversee and prioritise the team's work, being flexible in adapting to changing priorities.
