We have been impressed by the growth of Kennedy's Group a privately held and major plumbing trade services company with a broad remit spanning new construction, industrial projects (roof plumbing/plumbing and piping services/asbestos removal), to maintenance and repairs for commercial, industrial and domestic clients. A Privately held company via two Directors, it boasts projects from Melbourne's East to Geelong and SW Victoria ranging from $2,000 to $2million in value. To allow the Directors to focus on the strategic growth of the company, we seek a Senior Project Manager with plumbing trade qualifications to manage its broad/diverse project portfolio.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery, from inception to completion

This includes:

• Managing clients - defining scope and specifications and reporting on project progress and ensuring client expectations are met.
• Managing project budgets ensuring actuals vs estimated/quoted costs are met and communicating needs for variation to quotes where necessary.
• Ensuring plumbing industry and company standards are met.
• Leading project managers and/or project teams.
• Creating and executing project plans, for multiple/concurrent projects
• Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, train, develop and mentor Project Managers, Contracts Administrators and Leading Hands.
• Identify skills gaps and training needs to bridge gaps.
• Be available and accessible to Clients, Project Manager and Project Team Members to allow for attainment of project outcomes.
• Travel to site to ensure projects and project teams are delivering to client requirements and quality standards.
• Establishing Project Budgets and Plans and monitoring daily in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Manage clients and seek opportunities for further work with current or identifying new clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards and promoting a strong safety culture.

About You!

The Must Haves..

You will:

• Be a trade qualified plumber with diverse commercial/industrial plumbing experience.
• Bring a proven track record in operations, project management managing concurrent projects for successful delivery.
• Understand the relevant codes, regulations that cover plumbing projects in addition to quality, safety, environmental standards.
• Be able to see the big picture but also are aware of intimate project components, including Sites, Teams, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Work autonomously and have demonstrated ability in managing project budgets and plans.
• Be able to bring out the best from those people and external subcontractors/suppliers to achieve great project outcomes for the client and company.
