The Role

We’re on the hunt for a skilled and enthusiastic CNC Laser Sheetmetal Designer and Operator to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you’ll design intricate sheetmetal components using CAD software and operate state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting machines to bring your creations to life. If you’re a detail-oriented problem-solver with a flair for design and a passion for precision manufacturing, this is your opportunity to shine!

Key Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for custom sheetmetal components using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

Program and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce high-quality stainless steel and metal parts.

Collaborate with clients, project managers, and the production team to ensure designs meet specifications and exceed expectations.

Optimize designs for material efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.

Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure precision and adherence to standards.

Maintain and troubleshoot CNC laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in laser cutting and sheetmetal design.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 3+ years in sheetmetal design and CNC laser cutting/operation, ideally in custom joinery or metal fabrication.

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D/3D design.

Expertise in CNC laser programming and operation (e.g., G-code, CAM software like BySoft or Trumpf).

Strong understanding of stainless steel and sheetmetal properties and fabrication techniques.

Keen eye for detail, precision, and problem-solving.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and client specifications.

Qualifications: Trade certificate, diploma, or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Personal Attributes: Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to innovate. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively.
