Your Potential Manager & Team
You’ll be partnering with a seriously switched-on and collaborative CFO, approachable and extremely knowledgeable.

What do you do?
The commercial manager will be a key leader in the Development/Commercial team and regional platforms in preparing, building in originating, coordinating and executing investment workstreams in the region (Project Finance, Equity Transactions, Bid Submissions, Offtake Processes and Financial Close processes). In conjunction with other members of the Development/Commercial Team, this role will manage the financial modeling process from the Mainstream side, managing the lenders’ valuation and operating models for the projects as well as Mainstream’s investment portfolio
model.

Also will be responsible for drafting Investment Papers which will be brought to the Investment Committee and for preparing Platform Business Plans. The role will also involve sourcing, structuring and executing commercial solutions for the company's wind, solar, and storage projects.

• Analysis of cash flows
• Ability to audit/sense check a financial model quickly and succinctly to ensure outputs are reasonable in order to make quick, correct commercial decisions
• Ability to challenge those providing inputs to ensure an accurate representation of the risks and rewards is prepared and presented
• Accurate management of information flows used to maintain financial models
• Take responsibility for structural integrity and functionality of models including accounting, tax and regulatory requirements of APAC markets

• Design, build and maintain highly complex financial models for renewable energy projects including:
• Support the Project Finance team, responsible for bringing to Financial Close late development-stage projects.
• Take lead for ongoing transactions (including M&A, Business Development Project Financing and RFP process).
• Responsible for drafting and preparing business plans for the business in Australia and Philippines.
• Establish strong linkage to CFO team to ensure best practice is implemented in Project
  Finance processes.

The must-haves

• Relevant Financial qualification with at least 3-6 years’ experience of Project Financing in Asia Pacific
• Must be self-motivated and be able to take initiative for requirements of the asset delivery team
• The ability to work unsupervised is a necessity but must be able to integrate into diversified multifunctional teams as required
• Leadership skills, with the capability of managing multiple resources and departments.
• Commercial awareness and ability to highlight potential efficiencies/areas of concern within models that require further analysis or support.
• Understanding of Financial Statement
• Ability to analyse qualitative & quantitative information for decision making
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Flexibility to travel as required

The nice to haves

• Renewable Energy or wider energy industry experience is desirable but not essential
