Job Description:

As the Restaurant Manager, you’ll be a key player in bringing our vision for this new restaurant to life. From the ground up, you’ll be involved in everything from setting up operations and building a team to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the venue once open. You’ll work closely with ownership and the leadership team, ensuring our restaurant delivers outstanding service, high-quality food, and an unforgettable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities:

Lead the setup and opening of the restaurant, including organising operational processes, menu development, and setting service standards.

Hire, train, and onboard a passionate and skilled team to deliver exceptional service.

Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant once open, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment.

Develop and implement systems for managing front-of-house operations.

Manage inventory, ordering, rosters, and cost control to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Foster excellent guest relationships by ensuring outstanding dining experiences and promptly addressing customer feedback.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food preparation and presentation meets our high standards.

Manage budgets, track expenses, and develop strategies to increase profitability.

Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Ensure a positive and motivating work culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.

Experience in opening or setting up a new venue is a significant advantage.

Interest in wine and curating a wine list is a bonus.

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge of inventory management, financial oversight, and operational procedures.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
