Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Restaurant Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing aspects of the restaurant, including staffing, customer service, inventory and marketing. This ensures that the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including staffing, customer service, inventory and marketing
· Support in the recruitment and training of staff, including front of house, bartenders, and juniors, ensuring that they are knowledgeable about menu items and customer service best practices
· Manage and supervise all front-of-house including hiring, training and scheduling
· Schedule staff and manage employee time sheets and ensure that staffing levels are appropriate for the restaurant's needs
· Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely manner
· Ensure that the restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness and organisation, including dining areas, kitchen, storage areas, and restrooms
· Collaborate with other members of the management team to develop and implement strategies for business growth and development
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices, and implement changes as necessary to keep the restaurant competitive and successful
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Duty Manager in a high-volume restaurant environment
· Knowledge of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory management and marketing
· Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of effectively managing and motivating a team
· Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and staff
· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Understanding of safety and sanitation regulations and best practices
· Experience with point-of-sale systems and other restaurant management software
