Right now we are looking for a new Senior Design Manager to lead the team on new ECI opportunities on the Gold Coast working D&C High Rise Residential projects ranging from $80m - $200m. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of deign management experience working for reputable construction companies delivering high rise projects and has the ability to both lead and mentor. Your sites will always be well supported and resourced properly.

As a company they prefer to have their Senior Design Managers able to interact with and effectively manage clients and consultants and have the personality to gel with a project team.

Role:
The Senior Design Manager has the following specific areas of responsibility:

• Initial and ongoing procurement strategies
• Review designs, recommend improvements and provide value adding solutions
• Involvement in appointing a builder
• Contract negotiations
• On-going design enhancement and improvement
• Manage design consultancies and achieve the best outcomes for the project

Person:

Technical knowledge:

• Ability to read technical drawings and foresee design and construction complications and cost savings
• Ability to identify cost savings through improving buildability and procurement
• Ability to translate technical requirement into policies and procedures
• Strong procurement strategy implementation
• High standard and well received internal and external design outcomes
• Experience working for a mid or upper tier construction company
• Very strong Structural design knowledge
