This is more than a role — it’s your opportunity to be part of a significant transition.
Avina, now proudly part of the Australian Health Therapy Group, is building on a trusted legacy of delivering high-quality, person-centered behaviour support services in Tamworth. With a strong foundation already in place, we’re focused on innovation, continuity, and elevating outcomes for people with disability.
Whether you’re looking to expand your clinical expertise or grow your regional impact, you’ll join a passionate, collaborative team backed by a national provider committed to quality, growth, and meaningful impact.
Be part of shaping what’s next — for the community, the profession, and your career.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be empowered to apply your expertise creatively and collaboratively within a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disability. You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based behaviour support services to children, young people, and adults with diverse disabilities
- Providing support in clients’ homes, schools, clinics, or community settings
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, and other stakeholders to create holistic, person-centered care plans
- Conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing Behaviour Support Plans aligned with NDIS goals and local service frameworks
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission standards
Why Join Us — Our Commitment to You
At Avina, we believe that supporting our people is key to delivering exceptional care—here’s how we invest in your well-being and professional growth:
- Flexibility that works for you: full-time and part-time options with no rigid start or finish times — plus opt-in for an ADO per month (that’s 12 extra days off a year!)
- Realistic billables: 65% billable targets, with protected admin time and space to deliver quality care
- Genuine autonomy: we trust our clinicians to do their best work in ways that suit them
- Ongoing learning: two paid CPD days annually plus access to peer support and clinical supervision
- Drive less, live more: caseloads close to home mean more you time — plus access to a pool vehicle
- Wellbeing matters: Fitness Passport, and a culture where your voice is heard and people lift each other up
What You Bring to the Role
To thrive in this role, you’ll combine your professional qualifications with practical experience and a passion for person-centered support:
- NDIS endorsement at a minimum Core Level Behaviour Support Practitioner
- An understanding of the NDIS and disability sector
- Confidence working independently, backed by a collaborative mindset
- Required industry checks (NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, Police Check)
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights & a Driver’s License
Why Avina?
Working alongside experienced local clinicians and support staff, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disability across the region. Our Tamworth clinic team includes six skilled Behaviour Support Practitioners, two Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Pathologist.
Together, we collaborate closely to provide genuinely client-led, coordinated care — focusing on shared goals and holistic support for individuals and families throughout Tamworth and surrounding communities.
