The Company

Our client is a leading organisation in the Logistics & Hospitality industry. We are currently seeking an experience and skilled Senior Accountant to join our client on a fixed term contract. Reporting into the CFO, the role requires the ability to complete month end close, lease accounting, maintain and reconciling fixed asset register, monthly cash flow reporting, variance analysis providing insights on financial performance to the board, oversight of the AP/ AR functions and management accounting tasks.

The Role

* Manage Fixed Asset Register: additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations.
* Oversee lease accounting (AASB 16 / IFRS 16): classification, calculations, and entries.
* Prepare and review journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Lead month-end and year-end close with accurate, timely reporting.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Partner with operations on financial insights and cost tracking.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
* Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
* Maintain GL accuracy across P&L and balance sheet.

Requirements

* Able to start with 2 weeks.
* 5+ years' experience in roles focused on management accounting, financial reporting, and lease accounting.
* Exposure and background in leasing, fleet management, financial services, or asset-intensive industries is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities with a keen focus on financial accuracy.
* CPA or CFA qualified is highly regarded.
* Proven stakeholder engagement through the ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to maintain compliance and financial integrity.
* Technically Skilled in using NetSuite and Microsoft Power BI advantageous
