Working for a global player which has grown rapidly through acquisition this role will initially hold responsibility for managing the transformation of their Australian accounts payable function.

You will work closely with senior financial executives and coordinate the centralization of the accounts payable function while implementing standardized processes and procedures.

This role will give you excellent experience working with a global company while being part of their senior finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller this role will see you initially take ownership of the organization's accounts payable function and will involve:

* Mapping out of the organization's current processes and procedures
* Overseeing and coaching a team of Accounts Payable Officers
* Clearly understanding the current processes & procedures and the automation involved
* Ensuring the finance systems are meeting risk and compliance standards
* Recommending improvements & enhancements to financial systems
* Development of accurate, timely and useful financial reports
* Implementing of companywide processes and procedures
* Expense and cost analysis
* Ensuring the accuracy of related general ledger accounts
* Costing analysis
* Assisting the Financial Controller with other related accounting duties

Your Profile

To be successful in this role you will be required to have proven experience as a Senior Accountant preferably within a high transaction, multi-site organisation.

Additionally, you will be qualified (CPA/CA/CIMA), have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships both internally and externally.

This is a true "roll-up-the-sleeves" position and will require an ability to quickly understand the expected deliverables and desired outcomes of this project.

This role will evolve into a permanent Senior Accountant role where you will take on additional responsibilities and be part of the senior accounting team.
