Your Opportunity
Mission Australia Housing provides social and affordable housing to vulnerable Australians ensuring they have access to good-quality housing that enables people to participate in their communities.
This role will work collaboratively with tenants, external stakeholders and internal teams to lead the development and implementation of community development initiatives. As part of the team, this position will be responsible for building formal and informal partnerships with community members across the Northern Territory.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Design and deliver community development plans aligned with our national strategy
- Strengthen relationships with tenants, service providers, government and community partners
- Implement tenant engagement programs that reflect their needs and aspirations
- Develop communication strategies and engagement resources tailored to local communities
- Contribute to integrated service delivery by working closely with housing services and asset teams
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of programs, engagement activities and partnerships
Requirements for Success
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in community services, tenant engagement and/or social planning
- Ability to build trust and facilitate respectful strength-based engagement with diverse communities
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing with strong administrative skills
- Understanding of housing and homeless sector
- Current Drivers' Licence and valid WWCC
