As a Van Marshal, you'll play an important role in our success on the streets. You'll be based in Hobart, where you’ll be tasked with the deployment and relocating of our fleet of e-vehicles to ensure we maintain a pristine presence in the local area. From keeping the fleet of e-vehicles tidy on the streets, sanitising equipment, assisting with basic diagnostics to helping educate riders about e-scooter and e-bike safety, you’ll find this role has it all!

Role: Van Marshal (Driver)
Location: Hobart, TAS
Start date: 16th June, 2025 (ongoing role)
Hours: Approx. 24 hours per week
Shifts: Weekday shifts from 8am-4pm (potential for some weekend work depending on demand)
Pay Rate: $31.25p/hr + super
What You will do:
- Redistribute and deploy our fleet of e-vehicles from the warehouse to the streets of Hobart
- Swap batteries and perform basic maintenance on our e-vehicles
- Report all repairs using our industry-leading operations App
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform duties and make sure our riders are on the safest vehicles
- Problem solving - You will need to spot issues and find creative ways to overcome obstacles and plan out your route
- Thinking about, and sharing, ways we can improve our productivity and streamline our processes
- Following and adhering to our internal processes and procedures, particularly those relating to WH&S
- Meeting our warehouse KPIs
- Supporting the onboarding of our new warehouse team members as required
About You
- Experience with driving a van or oversized vehicle in the city
- Knowledge of local area geography and street layout - preferred but not required
- A Full, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record (No prior license suspensions)
- Have previous experience in warehousing or manual labor - experience working with e-scooters or e-bikes is a plus!
- You’re smartphone savvy - you’ll frequently use our app, Slack and other apps throughout your work day
- Able to communicate effectively with your team and keep them up to date on work in progress
- Able to organise your own day and prioritise tasks with support from the Operations Team
- Motivated, energetic and physically fit; comfortable lifting and moving 25kg+ e-vehicles throughout your shift
- Have your own PPE (Hi-vis vest or t-shirt and steel-capped boots)
- Keen to learn new skills and adapt to new concepts
- Able to use initiative and creativity to solve problems that arise
