Allied Health Assistant/ Admin Assistant hybrid role - Thrive on a quality opportunity!

This highly sought after position within our legendary team doesn't come along often… We are seeking an outgoing and personable Allied Health Assistant and Admin Assistant with a clinical insight and expert communication skills to join our legendary mobile allied health team!

You must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and be intuitive, self-driven and have an independent ability to manage your time and work load. Prior experience working with adults with disabilities and the NDIS framework is a must.

Your Role Will Include:

Your role is a hybrid between an Allied Health Assistant, performing therapy programs under the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, and providing administerative support to our Therapy Coordination team.

As an Allied Health Assistant, your role is largely around performing exercise programs and facilitating exercise groups that have been set up and handed over to you by our Physiotherapy Team. Sometimes you may also be leading skills development programs set up and handed over by our Occupational Team. These tasks will be performed in the community (with paid travel time) and in our in house clinic in Mawson Lakes.

The Administration Assistant role is to with under the direction of ther Therapy Coordination team to manage the incoming referrals, schedulling of therapists, creating service agreements, developing documentation etc. The role may also involves support with auditing, invoicing and other administrative housekeeping tasks for leave coverage.

Your job will be paid in hours worked. Meaning that you can maintain work/life balance and still meet our requirements. Great for casual workers wanting variety or parents wanting some more quality time in work/ life roles! There is flexibility to work from our office at Mawson Lakes and your home office.

This role is only suited to experienced allied health assistants and administrative support persons, due to the fast paced environment, diplomacy with communication, accuracy of understanding of the complex funding frameworks. This role is in a casual capacity with the option to move into a part time position once a pattern of work has been established.

Minimum Requirements:

Expierience working as an Allied Health Assistant or in a relevent clinical field.

Experience working as an administrative assistant in a fast paced person-centred environment (Xero, Outlook, Microsoft suite). Experience with Splose preferred.

Experience working under NDIS framework

Experience with schedulling (not necessarily schedulling appointments for people)

Excellent knowledge of using computers and computer programs/ using technology (phones/ laptops)

Australian citizenship/ right to work in Australia

Australian drivers licence

Desired Requirements:

Experience schedulling therapies for health professionals

Required To Work:

Police clearance (issued within last 3 years)

NDIS Worker Screening (we can initiate this)

Flu vaccination for this season 2025
