The Central Coast Council is seeking to appoint a Municipal Employee – Waste & Services.

The Municipal Employee – Waste & Services is responsible for the efficient operation of Council’s waste services at our Country Transfer Stations in Castra, Preston and South Riana. This includes increasing the recovery of reusable/recyclable materials and reducing the amount of waste going to landfill to ensure the Council is achieving best practice solutions for the community.

Essential: Well-developed verbal and written communication skills including conflict resolution.

Salary and conditions: Part-time, 62 hours per fortnight including weekend work:

Thursday 11.15am - 5.15pm

Friday 7.45am – 5.15pm

Saturday 7.45am – 5.15pm

Sunday 7.45pm - 2.15pm

We are also open to a job share arrangement, with two employees sharing the specified hours and days above and working alternate weeks/weekends.

Central Coast Council’s Enterprise Agreement – Works Level 3.1 ($34.81 per hour).

Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, in negotiation and conflict resolution.

Demonstrated ability to respond to the needs of both internal and external customers.

Proven ability to work unsupervised with time management and organisational skills.

Demonstrated experience working as part of a team.

Proven ability to use computers and experience in cash handling.

Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe worksite.
