Electrical Maintenance Technician

• Permanent, Full Time Night Shift
• Pitman Shift Model - 84 hours / 7 x 12 hour nights worked per fortnight

The Role
The Resident (Electrical) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment. This role ensures the seamless operation of the site and enhances customer satisfaction.

This role is a NIGHT SHIFT position only.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment - 60% Mech / 40% Elec work split.
• Perform daily system audits.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance.
• Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.
• Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.
• Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution.
• Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments.
• Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.
• Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean.
• Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities.
• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

• Previous experience maintaining on site equipment either within engineering, automation or manufacturing would be highly desirable.
• Experience with component removal and refit.
• Experience with belts, conveyors, motors and gearboxes would be highly beneficial
• A Grade Electrical License
• Hold valid driver’s license
• Desirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs), experience with automated equipment, proficiency in German language.
• Pre employment medical, D&A and police check to be completed for employment

What's in it for you?

• First 3 months of training would be on early starts / late finishes - not full nights. Transition to nights would occur upon completion of training.

• Competitive Salary: $150k to $155k p/a + Super
