Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Panel Beater to deliver high-quality repairs on vehicle bodies and structures while supporting apprentices and maintaining strong safety and quality standards. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Townsville Qld, working Monday to Friday in a modern, fully equipped workshop.

Responsibilities
As a Panel Beater, you’ll be responsible for returning vehicles to their pre-accident condition using approved and safe repair methods.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Removing and replacing damaged components to facilitate structural and cosmetic repairs
- Using and maintaining hand and power tools to manufacturer and SOP standards
- Performing high-quality panel repairs using approved materials and techniques
- Preparing and sanding surfaces ready for paint application
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and new team members
- Reporting additional labour or parts requirements during the repair process
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised workspace and equipment
- Ensuring job updates and system entries are completed accurately
- Identifying and escalating production issues or safety risks
- Adhering to company policies, repair standards, and WHS regulations
Your Profile
To succeed in this role, you'll bring a mix of technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.
Key requirements include:
- Trade-qualified Panel Beater with post-apprenticeship experience
- Ability to perform full repairs and R&R on a range of vehicle types
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Basic computer literacy for job tracking and system updates
- Organised, efficient and reliable work habits
- Passion for developing others and contributing to a strong team culture
- Willingness to adapt to new technology and continuous improvement processes
